“A healthy and empowered sexual identity”
My sexuality came up frequently during 15 years in talk therapy, but I was really only skimming the surface. My upbringing in a conservative religious tradition had buried sexual shame so deep in my body that talking alone was not enough to bring healing, I needed to work experientially. I am so grateful that I discovered Elizabeth and somatic sex coaching.
From our first session, Elizabeth created a safe space for all of me, and just being welcomed in that way was incredibly transformational. All of my sexuality that had been neglected or shamed was welcomed, held with reverence and even celebrated! Elizabeth is helping me to differentiate between the pure goodness of arousal and desire and the mental clutter and trauma that so often pulls me out of the moment. Our work together is helping me to develop a deep connection to my erotic desire, to a healthy and empowered sexual identity and new way of being embodied in the world.
Even though this work can be challenging, I am so appreciative that I get to practice with Elizabeth. She always makes sensitive work feel safe and she is skilled at holding space for wherever I might be in the moment. She is an excellent coach and a wonderful human being.
